ETAP is not just for teens. We offer many different opportunities for people of
all ages to get involved. One of the best ways to make a difference is by joining a coalition.
Students
Q. What is a coalition?
A. A coalition is a group of teens (12-18) that come together to work as a team to further the abstinence message.
Q. How do I join?
A. Its easy! To become a coalition member you must attend monthly meetings, sign a membership contract and a virginity pledge. You can find out about local meetings by checking out the Blog for your area or by contacting your county coordinator.
Q. What do you do at coalitions?
A. We do a variety of things. First and foremost, the coalition is there to support other teens in their decision be abstinent. As a member of ETAC you help design the media campaign with includes TV/ Radio commercials, Billboards, T-shirt design, etc…. We always have free food and usually play games. Sometimes we do special events such as volleyball, bowling, skating and bonfires.
Q. How much does it cost?
A. Absolutely free, gratis, zero, complementary, on the house, not a cent.
Parents
Q. As a parent, am I required to stay with my teen for the duration of the coalition meeting?
A. Parents are welcome to stay, but it is not required
Q. How can I volunteer for ETAP?
A. Sexual abstinence until marriage is a serious issue and the teens in our community need to be aware they have a choice to say “No” to sexual advances. As a volunteer you can be trained to facilitate the curriculum and teach in community group settings. You can also support by donating food or drink, help chaperone at coalition meetings and events.

Educators
Q. How can I get a coordinator to speak in my class?
A. ETAP coordinators are able to serve schools within Camp Co, Gregg Co, Harrison Co, Marion Co, Panola Co, Rusk Co, Smith Co. Coordinators are able guest speak on topics such as STD’s, Teen Pregnancy, Abstinence…. For schools contracting with ETAP we offer school based programs called “FACTS” and EQUIP, that is designed to be delivered by school teachers to students 5th through 12th grade.

Church/ Organizations
Q. Can a coordinator guest speak/ teach at a community organization or local church?
A. ETAP coordinators are able to serve community organizations or local churches within Camp Co, Gregg Co, Harrison Co, Marion Co, Panola Co, Rusk Co, Smith Co. Contact your county coordinator for more information.
Q. Is their a cost for ETAP services?
A. There is no cost for ETAP services as long as they are within the 8 counties.

Q. What topics do coordinators cover?
A. We teach an abstinence only curriculum. Coordinators teach from a community based program called “Choosing the Best ” that is designed for youth 12 to 18 years old and their parents.
